In travel, first impressions matter, but so does trust.
Back in March to April 2023, Happy Hotels Philippines entered the market with a clear mission: to make travel more accessible while giving local property owners a stronger platform to grow.
As a proudly Filipino-owned booking app, it wasn’t just about competing with existing platforms; it was about telling a different story. One that puts local hospitality front and center.
Starting with the Right Launch
To introduce the platform, the campaign focused on creating an experience that felt aligned with the brand itself: local, welcoming, and immersive.
We brought together 18 tier-1 media representatives to one of Happy Hotels’ partner properties in Tagaytay for the official launch.
Instead of a traditional press event, the setting allowed media to actually experience what the platform represents—real places, real stays, and real stories.
At the same time, the launch also introduced the brand’s ambassador, Fabio Ide, helping add a familiar face to the platform’s growing presence.
Making the Story Travel Further
A strong on-ground experience is just the start. What matters is how far the story goes after.
To extend the campaign’s reach, we supported the launch with:
- Targeted media invitations and on-ground coordination
- Press release development that clearly communicated the brand’s purpose
- Strategic distribution across online and print platforms
The goal was simple: make the story easy to pick up, easy to understand, and easy to share.
By the Numbers
Here’s what the campaign delivered:
- 43 media features across online and print
- Participation from 18 tier-1 media representatives
- Coverage across lifestyle, travel, and news platforms
- Increased brand awareness and app downloads post-launch
The result was a strong combination of experience-led storytelling and wide media visibility.
More Than Just a Launch
What made this campaign work was how grounded it felt.
Happy Hotels didn’t try to position itself as just another booking app. Instead, it leaned into its purpose, supporting local properties and making travel more accessible for Filipinos.
By bringing media into that experience firsthand, the story became more than just an announcement; it became something tangible.
And that made all the difference.
